50% larger than Central Park…

NARTS 2012 Annual Conference Sunday night venueEveryone, it seems, compares their attractions to The Big Apple.

Here’s some info I found on the venue for the Sunday night event at Conference.

Forest Park was created in 1876 modeled after the grandness of Central Park in New York City. Forest Park is 50% larger than Central Park though. In 1904, St. Louis hosted the World’s Fair, also know as the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, at Forest Park. This building, the World’s Fair Pavilion, was constructed in 1909, using the proceeds from the fair. Sitting high atop Government Hill, the Pavilion commands a dramatic view of Forest Park. It will be the site of funnel cakes for the 25th NARTS Conference on June 24, 2012.

Okay. That last part of the quote I fudged. (Oh, funnel cakes with fudge sauce. Sign me up!)
